Here’s our gift guide for adventurous women/moms! While I haven’t tried most of these, I would be thrilled to find any of them under the tree! 🙂
STOCKING STUFFERS
Hair Bands: If she’s a mom and she has long hair, I guarantee you she can always use more of these!
Collapsible Water Bottle: Carrying around an empty water bottle (or your kid’s!) isn’t very fun. These collapsible water bottles would hydrate and save space in her pack!
Dry Shampoo: I discovered dry shampoo embarrassingly late in life and now it is always in my pack when we head out camping. Sure, it’s not a huge priority, but staving off nasty greasy hair for an extra day or two makes you feel a little bit more put-together 🙂
Silicone Wedding Ring: I often leave my rings at home when we’re out on a trip or hiking, and one of these would be a nice temporary replacement! With so many colors and styles, there’s one she will love!
Mountain necklace: I love these. Simple, classy, perfect.
Cuffs (or anything!) from Lovishly: Their jewelry is beautiful but their purpose is amazing. Every gift purchased goes towards supporting a specific organization or cause. Most of their efforts focus around helping women, but they also support special needs children and environmental actions (clean water for all!).
Loopy Phone Case: I have used the Loopy phone cases for several years now and I cannot imagine ever going back to a regular case. The flexible loop has saved my phone countless times and it is so handy I don’t know what I would do without it. I consider it almost a necessity. My case has lasted me at least 2 years now, although I did have to buy a replacement loop after my original one wore out. The replacement loop was cheap and arrived quickly. This would be an awesome gift!
Gift Certificates: A few that I would love to receive – Car washes; REI; Cooking class; house cleaning!
Family Photo Session: So many moms are always behind the camera taking pics of kids and adventures. I feel like this could be one of the most thoughtful gifts…to treat her to a family photo session – or even just kids & mom pics! – where she can feel beautiful, loved, and valued by preserving some precious moments of her with her babies! (no matter how big they might be!)
FOR HER ADVENTURES
While you don’t have to be outdoorsy to be adventurous, these are a few things that could come in handy on any excursion…
Cotton Carriers Strapshot: I hate lugging around our huge camera, but this would certainly make it easier!
Camp Blanket: I’m a sucker for cozy and these would be great for cuddling around a campfire or snuggling up at home
Hot Water Bottle: If she’s ever complained about being cold in the tent, you need to get her one of these!! An easy way to warm up a sleeping bag without sticking a child in with her 😉
Fat Sleeping Pad: We have these sleeping pads and they sure make nights in the tent A LOT more comfortable!
Hiking Daypack: Anytime she’s getting out with the kids, a daypack will come in handy.
Thermos: An easy way to keep hot chocolate or soup warm on a long hike or day at the park.
Pretty Coffee Tumbler: I don’t know a mom who doesn’t like a pretty mug! This one from Etsy caught my eye.
Rechargeable Hand Warmers: Keep those fingers toasty and help stave off complaints of frozen hands from the kiddos. I would love to have these to keep in my car for our winter trips.
Unbreakable Wine Glasses: Yep. These + wine = easy, great gift.
CLOTHING & SHOES
“Fashion” Puffy (aka Down Sweater): All the cool kids have one! Depending on the brand and the sale, these can range in price from $60 – $300. You should be able to find one for around $100, though, and they are a nice addition to any wardrobe. They offer the warmth of a fleece with the lightness of a thin sweater. They layer well, too. I use mine year-around.
Pullover Hoodie: Ahhh… cozy hoodies bring back the memories of lazy college days lounging with friends. I’ll take one of each, Santa!
Cute Beanie Hat: I love these beanies from Duluth Trading Company!
Gloves with Touch-tips: Every mama needs a sleek pair of warm gloves that she can use with her smartphone!
Convertible Mittens: I actually bought myself a pair of these a couple of years ago and LOVE them. I like that I can have my dexterity available when necessary but have the warmth of covered hands, too.
Oboz Boots: I got a pair of these last year and they’re great. I love that they’re waterproof and easy to clean but look classy enough for going out.
Cute Rain Boots: I don’t have a pair of these and I want some! 🙂
Smartwool socks: High-quality socks go a long way in keeping your feet comfy.
Base Layers: I need a new set of base layers and can’t decide which brand I want to go with. I liked the capilene from Patagonia, but the sleek merino wool from Ice Breaker may be my next purchase…
Prana Dresses: You really can’t go wrong with any of the high-quality items from Prana, but I really like these dresses for spring/summer. Practical enough for everyday wear but super cute!
Down Booties: Matt bought me these when we were first dating and they are the best for cold-weather camping or hanging out all day in a winter cabin. They are practical, but they feel luxurious.
Chaco Cloud Sandals: The best summer sandal for outdoor adventuring.
Sandouk Sandals: I want a pair!
Cross-body purse: When you’re chasing after kiddos all day, you do not want to have your purse constantly falling off your shoulder. This cross-body bag is cute and smart.
Skirt Sports: I just learned about this company from a friend and their products are great. I especially love their “Gotta Go” line that offers skirt/capri/short bottoms with “trap-door” flaps that allow you to take care of business without showing everyone your business. Genius!!
LITTLE SOMETHINGS
Candles: These Hearth & Home candles by Magnolia at Target are classy and have a subtle lovely fragrance.
Books: These are a few books I want on my shelf!
